Lexiq is a vocabulary-learning service. This policy applies to the Lexiq iOS, Android, and web apps and the Lexiq website.
Information we process
Account and profile information
When you create or use an account, our authentication provider processes the information needed to identify and secure it. Depending on how you sign in, this can include your email address, name, username, profile image, verified contact details, authentication factors, connected Google or Apple account, and session information.
Lexiq stores only the identity reference needed to associate your account with your Lexiq data. Passwords and social-provider credentials are not stored by Lexiq.
Learning and settings information
We process the vocabulary packs and senses you save, study sessions, answers, review results, learning progress, scheduling state, streak and goal activity, daily-goal setting, and IANA time zone. This information provides personalized study queues, progress history, and learning features.
Support information
If you contact support, we process the message, contact information, and diagnostic details you choose to provide so we can respond and investigate. Do not send passwords, verification codes, private keys, or unrelated sensitive information.
Technical and security information
The service may process limited technical records needed to operate and secure Lexiq, such as request timestamps, route and response status, request IDs, app version, device or browser information supplied with requests, authentication and abuse signals, and sanitized error details. Infrastructure providers may also process network information such as IP addresses in security and access logs.
The apps use essential local or secure storage for authentication sessions, configuration, and temporary interface state. Lexiq does not use it to create an offline authoritative copy of your learning data.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- create, authenticate, protect, and delete accounts;
- provide saved vocabulary, study sessions, progress, goals, and scheduling;
- keep activity aligned with the time zone you select or your device reports;
- operate, troubleshoot, and protect the service;
- answer support requests and communicate about service or security matters;
- comply with law and enforce applicable terms; and
- improve reliability and accessibility using aggregated or de-identified observations where practical.
Lexiq does not sell personal information. The current product does not contain third-party advertising or product analytics trackers, and we do not use learning history for targeted advertising.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and learning information while your account is active or as needed to provide Lexiq. When account deletion completes, we delete the authentication identity and Lexiq-owned account, saved vocabulary, settings, reviews, progress, and study sessions from active systems. Shared catalog content is not deleted with a learner account.
Residual encrypted backup copies may remain for a limited period under the production backup rotation. They are not used in the live product and are removed through the normal rotation cycle. Limited security, transaction, or support records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
See Delete your Lexiq account for instructions.
Your choices and rights
You can review or change available profile and app settings, disconnect by signing out, and request deletion of your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, obtain, restrict, or object to processing, or to appeal a privacy response.
To make a privacy request, email support@lexiq.nverk.me from the address associated with your account when possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting. You may also have the right to contact your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access, server-side ownership checks, restricted credentials, encrypted network transport in production, and data minimization. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Lexiq is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
International processing
Lexiq and its providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on applicable contractual or legal safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Lexiq or its legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
